Other frequently asked questions:

Q: I want one! Where can I find the Form-A-Funnel® Tool?

A: Click here!

Q: How exactly does the Form-A-Funnel® Tool work?

A: It bends, molds and holds any shape to create leakproof channels for draining oil. You can also form it into funnels, drip trays and other liquid-management tools. To learn all about it, watch this video!

Q: Why does the Form-A-Funnel® Tool have a flap on it?

A: The soft rubber flap on the end of the Form-A-Funnel® Tool creates a leakproof seal around filters or drains for truly no-mess oil changes.

Q: How do you clean a Form-A-Funnel® Tool?

A: Simply wipe it down with a wet rag! For stubborn grease and grime, it's also compatible with cleaners and degreasers.

Q: How should you store a Form-A-Funnel® Tool?

A: Store it flat or roll it up and tuck it in your toolbox or glove compartment. You can safely store a Form-A-Funnel® Tool in subzero temperatures or in heat up to 425°F.

Q: How tough is a Form-A-Funnel® Tool, really?

A: The Form-A-Funnel® Tool has undergone a battery of torture tests, like one that repeatedly bent it back and forth every 2 seconds. After a whopping 6,000 bends, the nitrile rubber coating still looked as good as new, and the internal lead core was still in one piece. Under normal conditions, your Form-A-Funnel® Tool will last a lifetime.

Q: But, what about "extreme conditions"?

A: The Form-A-Funnel® Tool can be used in temperatures down to -30°F with liquids as hot as 425°F. Its nitrile rubber coating stands up to most vehicle fluids and chemicals — even brake fluid, solvents and battery acid. There is no such thing as an "extreme condition" to a Form-A-Funnel® Tool!

Q: What if I do break my Form-A-Funnel® Tool (or if I just don't like it)?

A: New Pig is so confident in the Form-A-Funnel® Tool that every one is covered by their 100% Money-Back Guarantee. If you're not completely satisfied, for whatever reason, they'll refund every penny you spent and will even pay the return freight.

Q: What's the Form-A-Funnel® Tool made of?

A: The innovative Form-A-Funnel® Tool is constructed of a thin, bendable layer of lead encased by a thick, pliable coating of nitrile rubber.

Q: Why lead?

A: New Pig tested dozens of materials, but in the end, lead offered the best performance by far. It has no "memory," so no matter how many times you mold it, it always goes back to its original state. Lead is super flexible yet holds any shape, so it's perfect for reaching small spaces and tight bends in engine compartments. And, since it's completely encased in nitrile rubber, the Form-A-Funnel® Tool is perfectly safe to use for years.

Q: How do I dispose of a Form-A-Funnel® Tool?

A: Because it does contain lead, it must be disposed of according to federal, state and local regulations. Call your industrial waste hauler, local municipality or New Pig Technical Service at 1-800-HOT-HOGS® for assistance.

Q: Can I get a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)?

A: Of course! Just click here.

Q: Where is the Form-A-Funnel® Tool manufactured?

A: The Form-A-Funnel® Flexible Draining Tool is proudly manufactured right here in the USA.

Why wasn’t this product created before. I used it my first day. I’m a heavy equipment mechanic for a public power company and it worked perfect. Excellent product. Excellent! I had been using construction paper and magazine covers (never a handy) to funnel oil away from the engine and chassis when doing oil changes. Never again. Form-A-Funnel does what it says! Simple to use, easy to store. No B.S. just a product that works! Nice. The Form-A-Funnel is exactly what I had been looking for! On two of my cars, the oil filter is directly above the front crossmember of the frame, and leaks oil into a number of cracks and crevices. The Form-A-Funnel easily slipped under my oil filter and pointed the flow right into my oil pan. I have 2 tractors with the oil filter on the side. I have been looking for something like this for years. Before this, the oil ran out over the steering arm and was a mess to clean up. Now I lose no oil, no drips, no spills and cleaning up is a snap. I have saved much time with this product. I highly recommend the Form-A-Funnel. It’s easy to use, can be formed into any shape, and retains its shape and easy to clean. Very good for ATV, lawn mowers, car, truck and anything you have to drain out Before this product, changing the oil in my Suburban meant major cleanup after changing the oil filter. Now I can change the oil and complete cleanup in half the time. I loved it! I have a car where the oil filter screws in on an angle, right over the starter. I have never been able to remove it without a mess; until now. [...] I can’t think of being without this product again.
